New school year, new Rewire education workshops!
With the summer break behind us and the first school bells rung, Rewire education is back with new workshops, new teachers and of course, new students! The first two workshops were held on Thursday the 5th of September at the Haagse Montessori Lyceum: Smart Sounds and The future of sound.
The Smart Sounds workshop is taught by new Rewire docent Peter Garaedts. In this workshop, students learn how to compose their own electronic music using a DAW: Digital Audio Workstation.
The future of sound workshop challenges students to think about the future of the planet and how factors like the environment will influence the development of musical instruments. Students design their instruments and create 3D prototypes, using both digital and physical tools to express their ideas.
